Finding our community and discovering parts of our identity we never had a name for can be extremely empowering. It’s never too late!

Maybe you have a family member who is Neurodivergent. Maybe your child was recently diagnosed with a Neurodivergent condition and now you are questioning your own Neurotype. Maybe you have a lot of Neurodivergent friends who you just click with. Or maybe you follow Neurodivergent people on social media and their stories are just too relatable.

Maybe you’ve just always felt a bit different, experienced the world differently, but never had a word to describe it.

Whatever the reason, no matter your age – you are welcome to chat and connect and see if, maybe, the idea of being Neurodivergent resonates with you!

Drag & Draw is an art class with a difference. It is a life drawing class which uses traditional life drawing techniques, but features a drag performer as a model – so it’s half life drawing class and half drag show. Established in 2018 the sessions have been run across Ireland and now exist online. We’re delighted to be collaborating with Neuro Pride Ireland for our next online class.

Our model for this session will be the one and only Avoca Reaction and leading the class will be the talented Ailbhe O’Connor.

All exercises will be adaptable to whatever drawing materials you have at home – nothing wet near your digital devices though! The lesson plan is designed to be accessible for all levels of skill so the sessions are very beginner friendly. There’ll be lip-syncs, fast-paced drawing exercises and some optional audience interaction.

Depending on what everyone wants to do, we’ll be playing Quiplash or Fibbage XL.

Quiplash: You and another player answer a question (Eg: A good slogan for a zoo run by monkeys). Then everyone votes on the answer they thought was the funniest.

Fibbage XL:  All players get a question (Eg: New Zealand has a government elected______) Your answer has to be a believable lie. You get points for every player that picks your lie. And if you pick the true answer, you get even more points!

Logging into either of these games is easy. Here’s a tutorial on how to do it.

Games can have up to eight players each but if you want to just watch, that’s ok, too.
